My Lesson: Constructing a Haiku
Hello classmates,
Please leave a comment on how I did on my lesson. My lesson was on constructing a Haiku.
Karen, Unlike geography and plate tectonics, Haiku is something I know a little about! You can write them anywhere. But I have to admit, you really gave me a gift. You exemplified the direct teaching method pretty perfectly. You had it all, your introduction, your example, (using what I believe is called a nucleus word cluster?) and then letting us create our own Haiku. I truly enjoyed it. Thank you. You will be a great teacher. And I really liked what I came up with!
HI Karen, I just wanted to follow-up on your fun teaching methods Haiku and how you did the class group actions on making this interesting. It was a lot of fun and taught me a subject that I only heard of and never tried. Good Job. Best,Lou
Karen, I really liked your lesson because I walked away with an understanding of what a Haiku is. If I was taught about that poem structure before, then I do not remember. But your lesson easily explained to us the basics and allowed us to create our own poems which helped me understand and most likely retain the information going forward. Nice Job! Brian
